- Our volunteers only do what motivates them when they can.
- 70% of our volunteers on our private Facebook group are women because they want to protect their children’s future.
- Planting tree whips is fun for all ages and most who come for the first time ask when the next event is.
- Our volunteers have planted about 5,000 tree whips in a day. As a rule of thumb, we work on an average of 100 to 150 whips per person between 9 am and 3 pm on a wet winter day.
- At least three projects have created a very special benefit or magic for the landowner and our volunteers
- The Head of a large secondary school was amazed by the enthusiasm of his students outside in the rain planting 1500 trees.
- We helped a landowner achieve the dream they wanted to achieve for 30 years.
- We helped an elderly retired farmer achieve his dream of planting a wood of 2000 trees to join two existing woods for wildlife and production of oak, sweet chestnut and hazel. This was carefully designed with the heritage authority approval on ridge and furrow to enhance the view from the footpath.
